So we have just started our graphics specialism at college and for our short project we were asked to create words showing their meanings in a variety if different media.This was originally my first idea and it's still my favourite. Im really happy with how this came out, although i should have been more prepared and bought ingredients rather than just raid my parents kitchen cupboards

This is what everyone should see when they wake up. I loved this so much, I added this on the desktop on the computer in the vinyl room of my job. I even sent it to my friend who is an artist, and she loved it. Who wouldn't wanna wake up to this?

it was rad seeing everyone just stop and listen. so good.
Busking is rad! there's a busking video of my band! we played at this event called busker fest in long beach.
more details on that. after i'm not tired. but the premise is having bands play on 3 flat bed trucks...not power.
i do dig the music store. i get to really network, learn about a lot of music, surround myself.

haha no I don't busk a lot. We just played this event called Buskerfest. Where there were 3 flatbed truck stages. And 12 bands.
It was a competition. Bands competed for these coins. Whoever got the most coins won.
We had a bag on our stage, and people went to a booth to get 7 coins, and distributed them to the bands they liked.
Pretty fun.
We came in 2nd.
But, it was sooo much fun.
Also, bands weren't supplied power or anything like that. Some bands kinda cheated and used the truck's battery.
I wanted to be more creative. So I used a megaphone for vocals, a battery amp, and a ghetto blaster/boom box, in which I ran a mic from that, into the amp.
So I was playing guitar out of the boom box. haha

He lost a 45 (7" record. do you know records? I dunno) so he was like, "well, I'm just gonna have to start over and I won't leave 'till I find it!"
And I was just heading to lunch. I was like, Oh, that's good to hear. Well, have fun Meagan.
Meagan was covering for me.
She works with me.
She's ok.
Sometimes I really hate her.

Peet's: Oh, sorry, I thought I told you. I probably didn't. So, my other job is working at a coffee shop called Peet's Coffee & Tea. It's a corporate coffee company...but on the lesser scale.
It's not like Starbucks at all. And we don't have many stores. We have a lot on the west coast. Peet's originated in Berkeley. Northern California.
We do artisan roast coffee, and sell beans in the store. Hand pulled shots of espresso.
I dig it. especially at our store. We close at 8pm. Super early. So I can close and still go and do a gig later.

We are in no way ready to travel out of the country. My drummer would have to quit her job, and we'd have to be a full time band. Unless we did a weekend thing. But, that seems pretty crazy. That's a long flight. UNless we left on a Thursday. Played on a Saturday, and left Sunday night. That'd still be a lot of money spent.m

but, after the 50's it became like a staple of a "quick grocery store" kinda thing.
Like a convenient store...convenient. You can get coffee, snacks, beer, slurpees (icees/slushies) and other random stuff.
7-11's differ on ownership. I don't think they are a corporation...or franchise owned, but are also individually owned.
I dunno. it's confusing.
But, there's this one close to where I live that sells this English chocolate.

You know what those are? they are like stiff...and you slap them on your wrist, and they curl up. I used to looove those when I was a kid. They have them at this pizza place next to the cafe where I work. I was so excited to see them. haha
I was like, "When life gets to confusing, and difficult, just slap that shit on. This, this is a reminder of the simpler things in life." haha
I have all sorts of motivational metaphors and analogies. Like sonic the hedgehog/video game metaphors.
That was fun. I was like, "think of me as one of many rings to collect on your sonic the hedgehog adventure in life."

I made a girl i like(d) a home made moonrise kingdom valentine's card. and gift.
the whole thing is a long, dumb story.
But, she's going through some problems... normal life...but I wanted to do something awesome. 'Cause doing awesome things can prove to be pretty awesome.
And I'm a geek for gifts. So, I was like, oh I'm gonna make her day and make her happy.

I got her this "stencil wars" book. It is about a handful of graffiti/street artists goin' off on Star Wars inspired art.
Rad book.
And a box of chocolates that came with a chalk board (she's an artist).
So...she ignored me all day. I dunno. I'm not gonna get into it. lol we don't really know each other.
But, short version, I just dropped the gift off at her door, and then went to the movies.

I drew the raccoon logo from Moonrise Kingdom and drew a heart for the nose. The card said, "What kind of a valentine are you?"

There's this market called "World Market" aka "Cost Plus." And they have snacks and drinks and stuff from all over the globe. I forgot about that place. They have English cookies/candy/beer.
