Thanks everyone!
"Focus my sister... another minute left."
Solar Eclipse of 2017!
These only happen every so often after a dozen years or so. Prepare yourselves everyone!
This is a very exciting day in our solar system! Be cautious of staring at the eclipse directly though, this can really damage your eyes.
Have a great eclipse day everyone!
Thank you!

Actually, full eclipses are known to happen every 18 months or so, somewhere in the world, but are often just over an ocean. This is the first time in 99 years we get a FULL eclipse over the North American continent. c:

I believe the next eclipse is supposed to happen somewhere over Chile and Argentina-- idk if it's a full eclipse, but it's supposed to happen in 2022 or something.

I just saw a full solar eclipse myself (U.S. 2017), and it was a beautiful celestial event. Seeing the princesses of the sun and moon coming together to make it happen would be so cute, too.

"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good."

Such a lovely take on how a solar eclipse might actually happen in equestria.

It will be even so much more gorgeous... also without the need of glasses. :3

I've always wondered what/how a 'naturally' occuring solar eclipse would be done and what it would mean outside of a 'Nightmare Moon' sort of vibe.
Also, if not 'naturally' happening, at least you'd be able to plan and schedule things around it and not have such a cluster-mess like we had here in Oregon.

Buck not having the special glasses. I wear glasses all the time. Doubt transition lenses would help though. And with how fast it's getting dark here...

Depended probably on where you live with how good the viewing was. I live in Central Indiana, and it wasn't the best here either.
But hey, it's an eclipse. Enjoy what we did get. Not everyone will be around for the next one.

I'm excited to for the solar eclipse here in my city of Houston! Though I don't have eclipse glasses, so I won't look at
the eclipse, but I'll just look at how the sky grows darker.
(Great idea with Luna and Celestia doing the eclipse! Surprisingly creative!)
