With the crackling lightning around him, combined with the red cape, and how Izuku does use some gadgets to help support his body this kind of makes him look like a mix between Thor and Iron Man.
Which is an awesome combination in my humble opinion. And he's got a strategic mind worthy of Captain America so our boy Deku is almost like a mix of the Big Three of the Avengers all rolled in one.

I know that and I think the same can be applied for the animators who do the adaptation of the anime.
I mean if you've seen the recent 'All Might Rising' OVA at the end when it shows the title the font of the letters and the color look heavily inspired by 'Avengers: Infinity War'.
