I'm not even at that desk anymore.. (but that is the monitor that died....)
I'm on my wife's desk and she is on a computer stand, my oldest daughter is using the desk in that image .... and it looks like a hurricane blew through the area

Yeah, cause otherwise I'd have wacked the lot of em for various things...
Really, it has it's issues being such a small place - and with so much going on it this space.. hmm gives me an idea for a new Blender project...
To realize that we are a 'fully functional' family (ie both parents and all kids are living under the same roof) and that my wife and I have been married longer than anyone (other than some of her relatives) we know... yeah we work a lot of crap out in order to keep this family together, but also in general our kids are good kids, not a lot of issues to have to deal with... they are both artistic and musically skilled, they have their struggles with grades (older more than Raquel), and we help them as much as we can .... my wife is working full time and going to college online (and I might add has a 4.0GPA still - although that is becoming a serious struggle due to this classes she is taking this semester - Payroll accounting and Statistics ...)
We make due, we always have

My congratulations to her, your wife! A 4.0 is hard to maintain even under the most conducive circumstances! Having studied bookkeeping, and financial accounting for a semester, I know it's not for everyone, including me! At least these days statistics is a little faster by computer. When I was studying biology, it was all by calculator.

They make her use a calculator and she has to 'show all work' - so it's not much different... She will hopefully keep that GPA even with these two killer classes...
I am truly proud of her (that and the 4.0 means that jobs will look for her - not vise versa... )
And as the DAVE school is like a full time job - I'm going to need her to have a heck of an income while I go to school... (thankfully it's only a year for me... )

Yeah, comes with a top shelf tuition too.... so I will be in nearly as much debt for 1 year of schooling as my wife is going to be for her 3 years of College -- ie She's getting a Bachelors Degree - and I'll be getting paid more than she can make with that degree

Don't sell your happiness for more money, okay? More money is always nice, but your family's well-being is your first concern.

You know what I mean. Money is only like manure. It doesn't do any good in a pile.

True. Money tensions count both ways, not having enough, and having too much, which brings troubles with it.

It's fortunately not causing that type of grief - we just need more of it coming in... ie about 300 a week more ....

erm I have a 2007 Nissan Versa S - -- yeah I got payments .... but I do have better than 25% on the loan... it's only 15.6% (but because I have poor credit)

The perfect credit is none. Check out daveramsey.com
When you've paid for it for two years, maybe $7200. That's assuming $300/month. What will it bring? $17k? That's $10k over what you've paid on it. Lay odds, you'd still owe another few grand, eh? My first car cost $50. My second, $750. The one I drive now, and have for the last two years, or more cost $3000. With zero% interest. Cash will do that. I think I'll be able to retire when the mortgage is paid. Ten years, if all goes well. I'll be 55.

I don't have ANY credit, and yet they jumped at the opportunity to mortgage my house. A 75% down-payment will do that to a loan officer.

My credit score is non-existent, none.

Well, Nissan wouldn't sell me a car due to my being a 'ghost' as far as credit went, my wife having all of those student loans however, was able to get the loan... really sucks I wanted the credit in my name so that the car would be literally a gift from me... but oh well, at least we have it since my car is dead.... (will be getting another one with taxes -- something that I can pay cash for and drive away )

When I look for a vehicle, I go straight to the back lot. If my vehicle is going to lose 20% of it's value when I leave, I want it to be a low number.
Renting is a good move until you're ready for buying a house. My grandfather always told me to never spend more than one week's salary a month on a place to live.

Can't do that here -- we spend just over 1/3 of our monthly on rent...
