It's runs the videos looped, so I can have 5 to 10 30sec spots run back to back (depending on the size of the SD card I use.)

Yeah, the actual is totally mat black, unless it's playing a video or flashing images (it can do either/or - but not the both at the same time) it is hard to see at all, mat black plastic casing, black screen, the buttons on top/back are black too, as is the switch, and the plug and cord... I have mostly dark things so it literally 'disappears'

thankfully the remote has color on it's keys (the remote is about the size of a credit card but 2x as thick.

oh no, you don't understand the remote - I have a place - it stays there when not in my actual hand... I can turn on and off and fully navigate the whole system.

i have a tip ... try to insert another object in the image so we can know the size of the frame, because when i seen this for the first time remained me of a LCD/Plasma Screen.

oh, I should have put that in the comments - it's 8" diagonal resolution (720i video capable - fyi) - overall it's 9.25" wide and 6.25" and 1.5" deep. It is a model of the HannSpree brand digital picture frame.

It really is Black - but it was so dark you couldn't see anything at all, - it really looks like a miniature HDTV when it's playing a video.
