The tramp steamer uses a ton of my memory (high poly, large model, with lots of peices and parts).

Make sure it goes into Studio/Content/Runtime after its been unzipped!

That is a great first render! And your system must be better then mine with handling two people and all those other things! it is a good scene, it works you can tell what is going on.

I would suggest two other places for more freebies in general 1. RDNA or Runtime DNA and 2. Renderosity they both have freebie sections, although Renderosity is user submitted so you really have to be careful and unzip them to your desktop or somewhere first and make sure the folders are arranged right.

Just some suggestions for later, I don't know why your render is pixiley so I'll pass that. But you have a white background area showing through the grate, I'd postwork that out, or put something behind it (like a copy of the top wall or something). Also, you can use the spandex settings to make things like but cheeks less prominant and make it look more like a suit they are wearing. There should also be a texture for the frog with that freebie, but I didn't learn about freebie/folder organization until I had been using DAZ a while so at this point I'm up to three installs and wipes to reorganize, so I bet you just missed it. If you want to know what you can and cannot do with folder reorganization send me a note I can try and give tips.

WOW, ok that's a lot to take in... firstly THANX for the comment... then, THANX for the advice (I didn't do any postwork on this - probably will later and resubmit - having too much fun building scenes...) I have been to both and downloaded too much to keep up with - currently d/l into a DAZ Downloads file on the desktop - although I am going to most likely move that into the DAZ folder itself in order to get to some of the files that are not for DAZ (ie I have to import them in - and then point DAZ to the various things it ask for [both in the d/l file and withen DAZ itself....])...

Right now it orginize chaos ....

As for the System - PIII @ 866 with 383MB Sdram and an nVidia GeForce 2 MX/MMX 400 PCI vid card.

I may message you later for some tips on some of the items that just don't seem to work... takes a good 10 to 15 minutes of reading and loading and somthing or another and then there is nothing new... agfh...

Really Awesome comment THANX again...

Daz Studio is what I use for my characters...sometimes in tandem with Bryce, but I don't use poser..the hair works fine in Daz...I'm not sure what you're doing and how you're set up... There are threads at the daz forums that address various issues like hair problems... I know it works though. Did you make sure to install it into the correct folders? I have a shortcut to the daz studio program folder on my desktop, because I don't trust installations that aren't the official daz one to put themselves where they belong. So I open up my daz studio/content/ folder and copy/paste the runtime folder of each new download into it...It says there is already a runtime folder, yes you want to overwrite it...it just adds the new stuff... Other than that, I am not sure of what issues you're having. (I unzip the download into a temporary folder I've made for that and manually cut and paste the runtime folder into the daz studio content as I described. Also I can then paste readmes into the readme folder I want them in as well)

I see, yeah ( I also put everything into a folder I called Daz Downloads - on my desktop ) I didn't put it in runtime tho...so that would be the issue.
