It is a bit dark, but I seem to loose the reflectiveness (on the body of the cars) when I bring up very much at all... If I had YafRay on this machine I could work it out (bright and shiny )

hm . . it's also dependend on the RGB curve, maybe it looks better on your monitor as elsewhere
I sometimes also had this problem
and than that thingy with the backgroundlighting in the room - in the evening the stuff could look absolut great and then the second day in the noon there's nothing there . .

I really need to work more on my lighting, I get good reflect if it's 'dark' and it just glares if it's too 'light' (and since the darker looks better and I've spent 20+/- hours of just re-rendering, I tend to throw the 'dark' version up..)

I agree with =karanua. Since youre on windows now, why not try indigo? Reflections seem fine even in the light on there
