I had already done a 'tubular' wheel before - so thought to make it a bit different for this one

Oh, those are harder for me to weld together and make look right - I may do that with a later version ;D

yeah, I'll have to as that is how most of these cars are actually built.

The 'final' is up - although that is not 'really' the final - as this is one of those projects that I'll come back to later and add to regularly

More coming VERY soon (As I have already rendered it, just a matter of uploading it in a few minutes ... )

...............................
I tend to do things in order on DA in order to best use my time here - Check notes, messages, deviations, then if I have something to upload I upload - I then do my thing in Blender for a while and while it does a test render I again check notes, messages, and deviations.

Your modeling has improved a lot over the months.
Are you going to leave the frame simple? I think it'd be cool to throw in a whole drive system with suspension. The hard part would be making the turning system for the front; but it'd definitely be rewarding.

SiathLinux In reply to dvdcpu [2008-05-21 17:42:02 +0000 UTC]

I plan on doing everything suspension and steering wise - also will do 'block' engine and 'block' transaxle in order that I can do the turbos, intercoolers, and dual radiators...

I've most of the 'basic' front sections shaped - a lot of smoothing and such will need to be done.

Function before form is always my design concept - so if there is an opening it will serve a purpose... smooth and low -- it's a single seater by the way..

You should try to add a subsurf modifier to your tires, they will come out alot smoother. But it looks really nice, keep it up.
