WindchimesCreated with Blender -
Download has MANY different formats for importing...
Please post your renders here on dA, and post a link on a comment here - and tell me what file you used to import and what program you used, and if you had any problems with any of the formats working.
You may modify this as needed for your rendering - (especially fixing the strings - as I did them in too much of a hurry so they are 'crap'

Your Welcome - feel free to 'fix' the strings - I did them in sort of a hurry and really don't like how they came out.

Well, maybe for a 'future' comic -- It's down loadable and has a bunch of different formats (in hopes that more people can use it.)

Well, it has an online classroom (a 'secure' chat with chalk board) - and it would simply not work with dial up - also she has to submit a lot of documents, excel, and such that it would take a long time to upload, lastly she has to download her books in PDF format -- *huge file sizes...

It won't load on Dial up (we had a 'line interruption' during one of her classes and Embarq supplied us with 'dial up numbers' for that time - and her classroom wouldn't load.

Yeah, and some 'newer' web sites are not dial up friendly due to their flash animations, and huge file sizes....

Have fun with it --- oh - they should be 'brassy' / 'coppery' looking (as I know DAZ will not use the colors settings correctly ) The top should be wood - so any image of wood selected would be fine

Well, nice use of moving vertex. I got to tell you that I would recommend low poly mesh when it comes to Blender. That is looking pretty good for the picture. When it comes to car, I reccomend using texture for the tire and not 3D modeled like you did last time. Ever since, I saw this, I asked myself it this low poly. I'm going to check it out when I get to the other computer.

SiathLinux In reply to Exotic-Lover1 [2008-06-11 02:17:21 +0000 UTC]
Well, the windchimes are not really low poly - as each 'tube' is 32 vertices round ... so is the 'string' and the string really just needs to be redone - I may do that myself later as I rushed to get it done ...

Exotic-Lover1 In reply to SiathLinux [2008-06-11 20:32:22 +0000 UTC]
32 vertex seem polywasting isn't it? Gah, then I don't like the windchime then.

But they look 'smoother' without actually 'smoothing'

Exotic-Lover1 In reply to SiathLinux [2008-06-11 23:33:13 +0000 UTC]
They look smooth when looked up close. Yes, I know that already. The more the amount of vertices roundness, the more smoother it is.
