Pokemon 2019 as we know now is Ash & go going to different regions. Ash caught previous Pokemon he met on his Kanto journey like Dragonite and Gengar. They went to Unova for the temple that had Golurk so I was thinking at some point in the anime, the professor would entrust Ash with a Porygon. Ash would think Porygon is a Pokemon he'd never seen before and will kindly oblige to look after it and report the professor if Ash found something new about Porygon. Later in the season, Ash would get a Up grade that makes Porygon evolve into Porygon2, and the professor would be excited to see Porygon's new evolved form. Of course, Team Rocket would be spying on them surprised that Porygon evolved with a item such as a Up grade, that they wonder what Porygon would evolve into if they had a different disc. And then, later on in the season when Ash and Go are visiting Sinnoh, Team Rocket would create their own Porygon disc that's actually the Dubious Disc that evolves Porygon2 into Porygon-Z. Team Rocket can't catch Porygon because Ash is well armed with Pikachu. So they drop the disc in front of Ash, Ash picks it up and it reminds him of the Up grade he used on Porygon. Thinking that the disc is safe for Porygon2, Ash visits the professor when they got back from Sinnoh. The professor looks at the disc saying he had never saw anything like it before. Before the Professor got the chance to look into the disc's files, Ash recklessly uses the disc on Porygon2, evolving into Porygon-Z, and everyone gets surprised when they saw Porygon2's final evolution. Porygon-Z frightened at it's unwanted evolution, it flies out the lab. Ash, Pikachu, and Go pursue it wanting, it to come back. Team Rocket also surprised at what they did to Porygon2, question if the resulting evolution of Porygon2 was really what they wanted. They decided to agree that the "Porygon-R" as they claimed it is and follow it to try to persuade it to join Team Rocket. When they finally find Porygon-Z, Meowth talks to Porygon-Z, offering it a spot on the Team Rocket, before Porygon-Z could give a answer, Ash arrives to save Porygon-Z. And Meowth says to Porygon-Z "Does that Twerp really want you back because of your wacky programing? Your head is upside down! But if you're on da winning side which is Team Rocket, your head will be in the right place. Perfect for nabbin' dat Pikachu!" Ash then says, "Do you really think Team Rocket wants you working for them just so you wouldn't feel bad about your new form? They want you because you're a Pokemon we've never seen before, and capable of so much power. But if you're with us, we can get stronger together, and finding what makes you special together!" And then Jessie says "Ugh, I'm sick of this twerpish talk! Talk about big mouth to keep shut. Luckily, we have a mouth that bites back! You're up, Drednaw!" (If Chewtle ends up evolving) And then the traditional Ash vs Team Rocket battle starts. Pikachu takes too much damage from Drednaw and is about to be finished off, Porygon-Z makes it's decision and uses Zap cannon on Drednaw, paralyzing it, and launching back into Team Rocket. And then with a combination of Thunderbolt and Zap cannon, it looks Team Rocket is blasting off again. When Ash and the gang returns to the lab, the professor checks up on Porygon-Z's data. It turns out that Porygon2's data and Team Rocket's disc data both got corrupted and the 2 in it's named got corrupted into the shape of the letter Z. Ash says " I think that it's perfect for Porygon-Z because it will be my partner until the end of our journey." Porygon-Z touched by Ash's words, flies over to ash and hugs him, while also shocking him, Just like Pikachu.
I personally wish that this would how the redemption of the Porygon family would be.
