Description
This is a cover for the upcoming comic book "Abra Cadaver: The afterlife adventures of Harry Houdini". This is a great story written by Dwight L. MacPherson ( Dead Men Tell No Tales) involving Houdini, the nazis and a whole lot of pulpy action. I wish I had the time to work on this book but I could only churn out a cover.Please look for the book coming out from Dead Dog Comics.

In a weird twisted way...this totally rocks! Slightly ironic, given Houdini spent so much of his time de-bunking mystics and psychics and all that jazz and probably didn't believe in the after life, but still. Rocks. Looks suprisingly like Houdini, in a corpsy way as well. And I like the background. If it's open to adjustment...use Darby handcuffs for the top bit instead of the model you used, cause they were his favourites. Nice drawing, tight trick. Ta

Thanks a bunch. I didn't do the logo at the top, the publisher put it on, but I agree. I've only really seen him wear the other style handcuffs.

This one should have more faves, its an excellent work, I like the expression on his face, and the nazis I have to say, they are spooky XD, anyhow, I love this one

Houdini looks fantastic, and the layout is great, but something seems off about the nazis...did you resize them vertically at all? They look a bit stretched...

They are stretched. I skewed them on purpose so they would look a little "off" or unsettling. I guess it could also look like they are stretched

Ah very nice effect, making something slightly wrong with the picture to make someone feel odd about it...but small enough that it'd go unnoticed by the careless eye...I'll need to look into that as something to attempt! I remember playing the old, original castle wolfenstein on my IBM 386 for 9 hours straight. When I turned away from the screen I would get a headache and throwup, the pain would only go away if I looked back at the screen.
