I’ll laugh.

I don’t even know who I am
How can you?
Rip away each mask
Till you get to what you want…
But it isn’t.
It can’t be
The wounds they went so deep
They cut so far
My face covered by every mask
When will you find the real me?
I don’t know….

wow...very very deep...I know exactly what you mean...
How can you know me...when i don't even know myself
type of thing...because I've lived many lives...I wear masks with everyone...I don't know how to explain it...but for certain people I'm a different person...No one has ever seen the person I am when I am alone...but how can that be me when I've never lived that life...I've lived too many lives...too many masks I've worn...too many masks I'm wearing...too many to take off.

Beautiful in all its fragmented splendour. Fragmented isn't a bad thing either so don't show up at my house with a grenade ok? When I say fragmented, I simply mean the way it is read. Usually, poetry is read as a long run-on sentence if there is no punctuation to tell the person where to pause and for how long, and in putting punctuation in these intuitively perfect places, you have given your poem a wonderfully unique flavour that separates it from the cliché.
