Stygian and Frazzle Rock are the worst helicopter parents in the history of Equestria- often not allowing Folklore to do anything remotely dangerous. When Folklore got her special talent in Dark Arts they both immediately panicked and forbid them from doing magic ever again...which didn't work. Folklore hates their parents, and their father has never told her of his past. Any of it, not being Starswirl's son, or his evil past... nothing. Their interests in the dark arts only grows the more her parents drive her away.
