I love that style. Wind Waker was my favorite video game for quite a while, not because of how the dungeons and enemies where set up, but for the music and art. Everything in that game was swirly and cute. The sharp swirls thing is still in my art now, the only thing I could never get down was the short legs. They're adorable, but awkward to draw for me.
