Description
I've been reading a lot of old comics with Oracle lately (all of "No Man's Land" and "Officer Down") so I wanted to draw her and her bat-plushie collection. I also read a bunch of JayBabs fanfics one night out of boredom. So that explains this.Let's say this takes place during "Under the RedHood" and that's why she's suspicious of him. But he just wants to flirt (very unsuccessfully).

Oh my goodness! The Red Hood plushie. I must give one to Bart Allen to go with his Batman and Super Gorilla, after he and Jason start dating. Mahahaha!!!
And hey I totally have Babs bugging his safe-houses and him knowing but leaving a few, because he knows she'll just do it again if he takes them all out.
But well it's my plot bunnies I can do what I want. Lol.

It's after Bart comes back from being dead. Before he re-joins the Titans. Hears Dick talking to Wally about Jason. Thinks this is someone who would understand. Oddly enough they're good for each other.
It's a whole series thing. That I'm working on different parts of at once.Now if I could just find a beta/cheerleader who doesn't freak at the pairing. Lol.

It's a real shame. "Under The Red Hood" was such a great story! But then Jason's character returned to the whiny annoying jackass that made readers want him dead. And the new 52 hasn't made him any better.

But he wasn't whiny at all when he was Robin. At least not in his original mid 1980's run in Batman Comics and the few issues of late 1980's Teen Titans he appeared in (he was especially a sweet kid in the old TT). There were weird flashbacks in later comics (like some issues of Nightwing) that tried to make him look "reckless" and out of control to justify his death. I love his post-crisis run as Robin and honestly can't think why people voted "die" other than the fact they didn't like he wasn't Dick Grayson but wearing the same uniform or that they just hated the concept of Robin in general.
Now, after Under the RedHood there were some truly awful comics with him in it. I'm thinking specifically the Batman & Robin comics where he was this over-muscled ORANGE haired weirdo, or Battle of the Cowl which made him an outright villain out to kill anyone on sight. In the new 52 I think he is written ok but only in Batman INC and DCnU Batman & Robin. Outlaws is awful and was a huge disappointment for me (you can see all kinds of fanart in my gallery I did before the comic ever came out, I expected something much better than that mess of a comic)

Actually it was revealed over the last ten years when people looked into this that it was actually just one person who used automatic call machines that he connected to hsi computed and made it phone in the 'Die' number over and over again.

Well the reason they wanted him dead was because after Crisis on infinite earths, they he was kind of an asshole who often talked back to batman and kinda murdered a guy. So yea, fans were NOT fond of him. (Myself included.)

But ALL the Robins talk back to Batman, especially Dick who, at the same time Jason was Robin, was getting into shouting matches with Bruce while Jason stood in the background quietly and awkwardly.

Redhood broke into Oracle's place to give her a toy version of himself. Because she has a toy Batgirl, toy Nightwing, and toy Batman (she actually does in real published comics). But she didn't have a Redhood. Now she does. Whether she wanted one or not. The end.

I know, that's just one of the few times I remember them interacting at all. It was rare for them to interact in general. I'm pretty sure they haven't interacted as Red Hood and Oracle at all.

I have to admit I'm unfamiliar with how well Todd gets along with Babs before and after he becomes the Redhood, but its nice to see his original hood helmet over that power ranger one he wears in new 52.

The only comic where Babs and Jason really interacted before his death was Gotham Knights #43. The rest was things that were mentioned after his death (like them mentioning at his funeral that she had been his tutor while he was Robin, but they never showed actual panels of it, just a little text box).
Before the DCnU reboot Redhood sorely lacked in interaction with women heroes of Gotham. Would have been really interesting to have him talk with Oracle or Huntress or the new batgirls.
In the DCnU she seemed to not trust or like him at first but in the last issue of Batman ( #17 ) after being tortured by Joker they were holding hands : [link]

Jason is SO cute XD! He's completely harmless when he wants to be, and he'd never hurt Babs, no reason too. Besides he likes her a lot. Lol, love the plushies XD

He wouldn't hurt Babs. It makes me angry when people say he would. They both suffered at the hands of the Joker. She was one of the few people that went to his funeral. Before he died, she tutored him so he would be caught up with schoolwork. I don't think they got a chance to talk while she was Oracle. In the DCnU they didn't get along at first (she didn't seem to like/trust him) but in Batman #17 there's one panel where they are exhausted after another ordeal with Joker and are holding hands.

Jason would never lay a finger on Babs, unless she somehow went mad and power crazy, and hell bent on destroying the world, but even then he would try to talk her out of it first...hmm, rouge Oracle, THAT'S a way to bring the Batfam together. Too bad it will never happen now... *pissed* Damn you DC for destroying all that is sacred.

In a somewhat recent comic Jason said he would never hurt an innocent woman.
Somehow I don't see Babs trying to take over the world. She can be mean in things she says at times, but not exactly power hungry. I do see her as being the future police commissioner of Gotham.
Turning her into a nervous batgirl again in the DCnU felt like a huge step backward and really watering down her character. Batgirl was who she was when she was younger. I can understand having her recover physically because she exists in a world with both magic and advanced alien technology. There's no reason for her to go back to beating up thugs in the street, though... there's enough people in the batfamily to do that and I liked her more mature role as the information specialist/master hacker, which I would have thought would be even more relevant in today's computerized world.

Yeah I know. An innocent child too...Damian however, he feels no guilt over giving the occasional whack on the head. Especially when he's being a little shit (so basically being himself).
I just meant that as id she was somehow brainwashed, like how Cass, and Dick have been a few times. Or mind control. But yeah on her own Babs would never even consider ruling the world. Do you know how much WORK that would be? She has her hands full with the batfam and Birds of Prey as it is. She'd hate ruling the world. Also that's insane and out of the whole family, she's the one most grounded to her roots and sanity. I like her that way.
They also broke a promise, both one they made in say when they promised the fans that she would NEVER regain her physical ability to walk/ recover fully, and one she made herself which she said even IF she could recover and gain her legs back, she would NEVER give up Oracle for Batgirl. She is SO much more powerful as Oracle, and has done way more good then she ever did as Batgirl,. And for them to just bring her back, destroy Stephanie who was doing GREAT AND Cass who's the greatest fighter in DC (arguably (my opinion)) Its just- AUGH! I can't believe that they would do that! Give her the ability to recover fine, BUT DON'T DESTROY ALL THAT IS SACRED!
