formed soon after the establishment of the Union of South American Nations, Lo Poco Comun Unido (The Uncommon United) were assembled to represent the collective good of South America, and to protect its people from whatever harm may come their way - their powers, their origins, and their very nature may mark them as outcasts, but together they have each found family and purpose - and while many of the UoSAN member states may have withdrawn from the union, their protectors have not - vowing to stand for the people, for justice - no matter what.

Led by the powerful Delta 'Diesel' Cortez, a young, fierce, brash but caring woman who lost her arms at young age after an accident in her fathers chop-shop - racked with guilt, he renounced his life of crime and dedicated himself to study, seeking a way to restore her in some fashion, teaching himself robotics and cybernetics, all the while caring for Delta - a loving Daughter who never once blamed him for her condition. He developed some rudimentary designs, but couldn't afford to build the arms he had designed for his Daughter and so, once more turned to crime to make right what he felt he had wronged, and finally granted his daughter a new chance at life with her new mechanical limbs. as he studied and worked, so too did Delta, learning all about the mechanics trade, engineering and robotics along side her father - taking over his garage, now a legitimate business and on the side, taking his designs for her arms and advancing them - augmenting them, and herself. she got into racing, earning herself the nickname of 'diesel' and would use her powerful cybernetic limbs to keep order in her neighborhood - when the same gangsters who her father had turned to for help funding his business and developing her arms came to extort him, to have him build weapons for them, Delta took matters into her own hands and with metal, muscle and horsepower, she dismantled their gang and saved her neighborhood from their grip. now, a hero to her home town, and an inspiration to those she loved to do the right thing, she was both proud and broken hearted when her father turned himself in for his past crimes - but with his example of what we do for those we love and her steely fists, Delta now strives to do what's right and rev her engine in service of justice - she is joined in her battles by

The Neon Spear (a Lança Neon) - little is known about this vigilante hailing from Sao Paulo save for he lights up the night with his trademark spear - an energy lance that can extend seemingly without limit, can burn through virtually anything and represents a shining end to the evils that would hide in his cities dark corners - he is a relentless force in battle, who often lets his temper get the better of him - when thrown, his lances become devastating energy blasts that he can dissipate at a moments notice - his membership on the team gives him connections that he may see as weakness but longed for, and he lives in hope that some of his teams better natures will rub off on him.

Cardshark - hailing from an alien world comes Dast Lotar, this decedent bounty hunter crashed to earth on the trail of a dangerous intergalactic criminal and found himself in the veritable paradise of Buenos Aires. his love for lovers, intoxicants and gambling left him feeling quite at home in the city, and he claimed a sort of asylum on earth in exchange for his service to Lo Poco Comun Unido after a run in with Delta Cortez. he enters the fray armed with his weapon, an exotic metamorphic symbionic firearm dubbed "Dealer's Choice", a weapon which reconfigures it's shape and abilities depending which "cards" he loads into it, the cards themselves are mnemonically imprinted with imagery that evoke specific ideas within Dast, which Dealer's Choice then transforms into power and form - what will he draw next? firebolts? ghost blasts? quantum decay beams? it all depends entirely on the shuffle, but whatever hand he's dealt you can count on Cardshark to be all in.

Ezeriel/Mateo Garcia - the son of an insane and abusive devil-worshipping madman, Mateo's life was destined to be one of suffering - on his 13th birthday, his father raised a demonic force of pure malevolence, a creature feared even in the depths of the pit, the nightmare known as Ezeriel, and sought to bind it within his son - and he succeeded - however, his attempts to turn his son into a vessel for the creature were hindered by his own madness, blinding him to what he had done wrong in the spell. his rashness to achieve his goal had made him sloppy, and so in trying to curse his son, he inadvertently cursed Ezeriel as well. now Mateo was cursed to carry the evil of Ezeriel within himself, but Ezeriel itself was now cursed to only do the bidding of the son - and to only use it's evil in pursuit of justice. the demon's abilities are eclectic, but when unleashed it always takes on a huge hulking form, and oozes blood from its hands and feet, as though it is constantly walking in rivers of blood.
over the years, Mateo learned to shoulder the burden of his dark passenger and to unleash him only when the situation was dire enough, for even bound to seek justice at Mateo's command, Ezeriel is tricky...and a demon's concept of justice is far gorier and violent than our own.

Wandering Fern (Helecho Errante) - no one knows where Helecho originates, she just...walked out of the Amazon forest one day and kept walking, seeking those in aid and offering healing to the sick. her nature has been revealed that she is a dryad, but her memory of where she came from is lost - though, whether she would know in the first place is often up for debate as she appears to be slightly disconnected from reality and away in her own mind at times. she is, however, a well meaning, if somewhat odd creature, kind and giving, with a frightening mastery of druidic magics and mastery over nature. she serves on the team out of the goodness of her heart, and in return they have promised to help her uncover the mysteries of her past.

Adonis Blue (adonis azul) - Alejandro Fernandez, known publicly as Adonis Blue, was the subject of an illegal experiment conducted by human-supremacist group M.A.N.T.I.S to re-create the effects of a weapon called the Venerator - a suit of cosmic armor that granted the wearer control over reality itself - the experiment failed, creating an explosion that cost the lives of all involved, and out of 2319 test subjects, Alejandro was the only survivor. but, he emerged from the debris changed, and empowered with the gifts of flight, super strength, incredible durability and an ability to project blue energy bolts from his eyes - and he had never been happier because before the explosion, Alejandro was still living as Rosa Fernandez. he had been early into his transition from female to male when taken by M.A.N.T.I.S, and while the experiment tragically had cost the lives of so many, it also worked - if for a moment - in changing the reality of Alejandro to allow his outward form to match his inward spirit. now, having emerged from the "cocoon" of his past, he has decided to use his powers to help those in need as an openly trans man, and battle for a better tomorrow.

Night Sun - Vicente Dresden lived a live of relative luxury, the son of wealthy parents and heir to a company that specialized in memory metals, he wanted for nothing and attended the best schools in the world while studying to become an archeologist. he was also something of a thrill seeker, enjoying rock climbing, extreme sports and martial arts. when he and some school friends found a supposed treasure map to a lost temple in the Mata Atlantica, they thought it would be a lark to spend the weekend camping and following the trail set out in the map.
little could they know that while they thought it a joke, others took it far more seriously, including the mercenary and pirate known as the Macuahuitl man sought both the map - and the treasure. he and his personal soldiers showed no mercy as they pursued, brutalized and murdered Vicente's friends until he was the only one left - fleeing into the jungle he found the temple they had thought a joke. his studies in archeology made sure he recognized it, a temple of the Jaguar god of the underworld, the Night Sun - to this day he can't tell if it was an exhaustion induced hallucination, a dream, a bad trip or something more, but he experienced a vision with a clear message - "make war on the deserving."
when he awoke, he was refreshed and resolute, and sought to make the men who had killed his friends pay, armed with only his wits, skills and some climbing gear managed to best his attackers, and brought them to justice - as well as finding the treasure horde of the temple. when he returned home, he found that his experiences had changed him, he no longer found the same joy in simply seeking the next adrenaline high...and he could never shake the message he had gotten in his vision. "make war on the deserving."
so, using his family companies resources, he developed new, personalized gear, combining some of the gold found in the temple with cutting edge science to make make retracting climbing claws, and a multi-functional grappling cable for use in both climbing and combat. he adopted the identity of the Night Sun in deference to whatever it had been that saved him from the fate of his fallen friends, be it destiny, dream or delirium.
and now, justice prowls the rooftops once again, and when the night falls...the Night Sun rises!
