Description
Just a little set of doodles I did one night with the help of a cartooning book I have. Thought you guys might find a use for it.Awww, baby Erik's cheeks are so pinchable! Too bad it's bone...
Edit: I made a cleaned up version of this: [link]
This one is going into scraps.

This is really cool, and a great way to experiment with character design. I love how his expression changes from one of distress/sadness to anger and then back again. Poor man came full circle...

Oh yeah, it was fun. I've never tried something like this, so who better to try than Erik?

so poignant...to think of him growing old...and alone...

Reminds me of what I used to do as a kid, making doodles all the time. I'd draw a portrait, then erase certain parts, add parts, erase them again, add other parts, and so forth - until all the erasing made it impossible to draw any more. Sounds lame, but I could spend hours doing that.
Anyway, what's up with this guy's nose? Shouldn't he have a more regular one? This hole he has gives him a skeletal quality he can do without.

That isn't lame. I'm sure I did that at some point, and I do it in Photoshop a lot now.
LoL. Well... For someone not familiar with the character, Erik, the Phantom of the Opera, can look a bit disturbing. That is how he is described in the book, not the sunburn of doom you see in that newish movie. He is meant to look skeletal, that's just what he is.

Aha.
Well, he didn't look disturbing at all to me. I mean, I can watch a bunch a muslim extremists behead a guy with a blunt knife without as much as a stir, so I'm in a safe zone when it comes to that. I was just wondering. It looked odd, since I'm not familiar with The Phantom of the Opera.

It's ok. I don't expect everyone to be as obsessively familiar as I am.
