I blame the avian biology course. I had been curious about the movie based on the Guardians of Ga Hoole books for a while, so I sought it out, if only to see the absolutely stunning graphics.Stunning they are, and though people may not think much of the execution of the film (I thought it was good), the characters are all wonderfully colourful and brilliantly animated.
Here is my favorite character; a great grey owl called Twilight.
Poet warrior and a good friend to Soren, Twilight is big, cheerful and full to the brim with "songs".

Definitely read the books if you haven't. They shoved almost half the series into the movie which drove me nuts and made it rather confusing, and they took away Twilight's wise crack personality, and made him a singing idiot. He was done well, he was just a little out of character though. In the books we was a major smartass. He is my fave.

Good old Twilight. You draw him beautifully! He looks so lovely, and the candlelight gives him a soft glow. I also like how he stands out from the background. I can almost hear him quietly singing a lovely song. This is definitely going in my faves!

Twilight is very different in the movie than he is in the books. I think one of my favorite characters was Ezylryb.

To be frank, I hated what they did to Twilight's character in the movie. The whole bard/minstrel angle is more tastefully downplayed in the books, he doesn't carry that.... whatever instrument that is. However, on the subject of your art, this is lovely. I love the soft tones, and the expression.

sooo in the books he doesn't carry a lute now im not disagreeing with you that they did kind of overplay it but i think they used poetic justice to give more comic relief to the movie just the same how they made digger really paranoid.i plan on reading the books this summer by the end i aim to have them all finished.

Perfectly right to dislike what they turned him into if you were a fan of the books first. I had been meaning to read them, but wound up seeing the film first, as a result I can appreciate both characters, but they are very seperate characters. I like Twilight of the books better too though. Glad you like the piece. ^^

Twilight got on my last nerve! But he kinda grows on you- like a fungal infection but more irritating 
I liked the old howl that ends up mentoring Soren and who's name I currently forget, but he was a little howl- Like a saw-whet but a bit bigger and he had russet feathers (and was defs. NOT a tawny, snowy, barn or horned howl... Unless he was a lesser horned howl.... *toddles away to Google it*)
But I just liked how the kickin' animation made you feel like you was flying too

A screech owl. His name is Ezylryb.
To each their own I suppose, but I love Twilight, he's hilarious, and a very noble owl. And he's actually pretty good. :3

Not that guy I don't think... He was a little howl with brown feathers and he has crazy eyes and a really cool backstory- Also, I remember being able to pronounce his name
The one who takes Soren and the elf howl into the big thunderstorm and has all the cool stories written about him and reminds me of someone else who is not a cheeselog.
