Really cool i like the fur markings :]

The head of the feral Form looks Very cool very natural almost perfect anatomics
The back legs are to close. The paw (lowerright) is "wrong" considering perspektive. Also a wolf has a smaller taille.

In Anthro is the breast not correctly set in perspective. every else is anatomoical right, very nice.

in overall i dont like the making of the fur:
your outlines are for short fur... but the long lines in the coloring/texturing show... well long fur ^^ wich just looks no good.

Also u should concentrate more on shading and highlighting. After all this is what it makes look realistic and 3 dimensional.

Hope i could help ya after all my english isnt really the best ^^

"Partial shifting"? What is that exactly?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Silverst In reply to sonicinterface [2010-06-18 19:57:03 +0000 UTC]

It means that you can shift parts of your body (like arms, grow claws or paw pads on your feet, etc.) without shifting all the way into a werewolf/wolf form.

sonicinterface In reply to Silverst [2010-06-18 22:22:07 +0000 UTC]

That's what I thought. Sounds relatively useless, though.

Silverst In reply to sonicinterface [2010-06-19 16:27:17 +0000 UTC]

Sometimes it could be quite useful. For example, when you need to open some kind of enforced container/box and do not care if it gets destroyed or damaged in the process, you can shift your nails into claws (or shift the whole wrist) and forcefully obtain your goal with much less trouble. Another example is when you're somehow left without your shoes and do not want to get your feet sore or punctured from walking on crossed or asphalt terrain. The solution is to shift the soles of your feet into paw pads and enjoy the walk without any discomfort.
That's just two examples, but I believe there could be a lot of situations where partial shifting could come in handy.

I like the look of him, also normal wolf colors, something that seems to be becoming a rare sight. Very well done!

Thanks! Even though it's all fiction and stuff, normal fur pelt helps to bring some reality into the picture

Silverst In reply to Caiusthewicked [2010-02-16 09:51:45 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, Caius!
When I was working on my part of trade with ~shadowwolf9 , I found myself being fond of coloring specifically fur markings and the pelt in overal.
I wanted to somehow repay him for showing me this, even though he didn't really do anything
So, that's why it was kind of "exclusive" for him.

aha I see well it's ok you did a good work too on your character the background Is a stock?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Silverst In reply to Caiusthewicked [2010-02-16 17:39:53 +0000 UTC]

I found how to make a texture of old worn down paper, but I messed up with the numbers. So I had to put 2 pieces of texture together and then blurred the connecting line.

shadowwolf9 [2010-02-16 01:54:48 +0000 UTC]

Crazy-good, man. I'm liking the new markings, as I already told you when you gave me the sneak peek.

This is very well put together, and you did a great job on the anthro form, but the wolf form looks a bit... odd. One of his eyes doesn't show up, and he seems a bit too stocky.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Silverst In reply to shadowwolf9 [2010-02-16 02:04:07 +0000 UTC]

Wolf was meant to be winking into the... um... camera. You've got to download the image to see it.
But I won't deny it - it's the first wolf (not werewolf) I've ever drawn

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

shadowwolf9 In reply to Silverst [2010-02-16 02:11:20 +0000 UTC]

lol. It isn't bad. Other than the eye, and the legs maybe being a bit too short and skinny, it's a pretty good job.
