Description
Founded in 1592, Trinity College Library is the largest library in Ireland and is the permanent home to the beautiful Book of Kells. It houses 200,000 tomes of knowledge in a lovely setting that I could have stayed in for hours. Originally the roof was flat, but it was raised and given a barrel shape in order to house more books. A curator informed me the last book that was added to the collection was in the late 1800s. ΒIt's also believed to be the inspiration for the Jedi Archives in Star Wars: Episode II

I love old libraries. They hold knowledge in beautiful buildings. In this case the building has my attention as it has amazing architecture.
