Wonderful expression on your subject, a hint of longing in his eyes, great work

Wow i'm amazed since I'm a sucker with acrylic !
Your painting style makes this paint so full of life despite its lack of colors !
Nice piece !

Oh wow - whilst I really don't know much about acrylic painting, I think the texture and tone of this piece is FANTASTIC! The use of lines and stripes really builds it up. The almost purple hue over the picture sets an atmosphere. There's something really special about this. Just GREAT!

Ik weet niet hoe ik het in het engels moet uitleggen dus doe ik het even in het nederlands, I hope you don't mind
Ik vind dit werk erg spreken, z'n expressie in z'n gezicht lijkt wel een soort van verhaal te vertellen. Door het kleurgebruik lijkt het allemaal nog ernstiger en zie je dat het al een wat oudere man is.
Echt heel mooi gedaan.

I really like it when at artist chooses a non-typical subject for painting. Beautiful young women and muscular models are great subjects, but when you choose something like this it means it's not just about creating an interesting subject, but creating an interesting line. The brushwork of the shape of this old person's face is fascinating. Excellent work.

Thank you for your personal respond. I find striking faces the easiest to paint and this old man has a special charisma.

I think it could do with slightly more defined outlines, but it looks great apart from that.

I like your style, I'm kinda speechless on how to tell you to improve this, you're doing great on your own...
but if there is one thing i do think you should try... its using black to outline some part... example, in his striped polo, it will make the edges clearer... same goes for the jaw line... its not needed but it amplifies distinction

Wonderful brushstrokes! I thought this was oils until I read the description! I love the intense brushstrokes (kinda reminds me of Jenny Saville's brushstrokes in some of her works) I love how you manage to use the stroke for highlights! Beautiful job!

This is a very good piece, this feels really natural. I only think a somewhat wider palette would've made this better

I love the expression on the face of the model, I feel a little angst, the painting is really heavy, even more for not having color, but is deep in order to show feeling for the viewer.
I really liked his technique and style!

This looks great! My opinion is that this "real" sort of art always beats the digital one, and I'm a bit jelous

This is acrylic? I'm amazed, normally you only see this kind of richness of paint in oil
I really like your use of brushstrokes in this painting, the thick, chunky lines capture his craggy face quite well. I feel like that gives it much more character and makes it more dynamic than if it were smoother. The lighting is lovely, reminds me of dusk.
My only suggestion would be maybe to add a bit more detail to the shirt to match the level of detail in the rest of the painting?
Otherwise, great work!
