Very nice pastel works. An expressive figure combined with a soft shading=good result, in my opinion (though the few part of clothing we see are a bit weaker than the rest,But nothing really worrisome).

I like that at first it had a warm feeling to it when I saw the thumbnail version, but kind of soothed down when I looked at the larger version and the slight green tones in the beard and shadows and the skin which kind of gives a vein effect on them.

Very nice use of colors; they're blended in in a very cool way. You also seem to understand lightning really well. You could however maybe try out some darker values more, and the anatomy of the haed corresponding to how the neck bends seems off. Maybe it's just the shading but I don't see a clear thansition between the neck and the shirt.
The dark values would really help make out the shirt because right now It kind of just feels like a big red color just hanging there with no texture. It would also help the eyes and cheeks stand out more. The lips could also use some highlight to be more defined. But this all depends on how much detail you can put on the canvas; I don't know why but I get the feeling it's not that big.

Thank you. The canvas was quite small indeed, about A4. I was practising to draw without using black. That's why it was hard to get real dark colours.

It was my pleasure, for that dark value issue the weirdest colors help actually, like some purple or brown for the skin. It's all about experimenting with the color wheel.

Great technique and use of highlights on the beard and in the flesh tones. I like the contemplative expression, it reminds me of Rembrandt's late portraits.
