Boss grew up with just her father, and never knew her mother (but honestly she doesn't think about her much, or miss her even).

Her father was one of the baddest bad guys that ever lived, a true terror of the Deadlands! He was a legendary outlaw who never lost a single duel, and left nothing but misery in his wake. The only person he was ever kind to was his daughter, who he loved more than anything in the world. He raised her while still on the run, wanted by every bounty hunter and feared by every sheriff.

Boss only ever saw the good in him, and was convinced he was just a good man in a bad position. Even after his luck finally ran out and the law caught up to him and he was sentenced to death, she firmly believed that he had been a victim his whole life who deserved a second chance.

After his untimely death, Boss tried to fill his boots and become an infamous outlaw of her own- except that without even an ounce of her father's talent, and even less of his cold-hearted ruthlessness, she was quickly overwhelmed and resigned herself to just keeping to the road and surviving as best she could.

She's generally seen as part of the criminal underworld, but in reality she's usually only passing through: she skirts from odd (illegal) job to odd (illegal) job, without much commitment to any of them. She has a rigid set of morals that she "claims" to have learned from her father (in life he was a complete mute, so where she really picked up her ideals is anyone's guess), and she's generally a pretty swell person. She's generous when it's convenient, but always looking out for numero uno, first and foremost.

She's been to jail at least 9 times and has busted out early each time, and according to her, she's looking to make that 9 into a nice round number 10.

Abilities:
- Incredibly durable. She can take a lot of heavy hits without going down. This is partly due to her species: bugs are naturally able to withstand a lot of damage relative to their size (and it helps that a couple of her ancestors were cockroaches), but also partly due to her being a comic relief character. The same attack that could kill a serious character like Shadow would simply send her "blasting off again" with a big ol' goose egg on her head.

- Has great aim with firearms. She never misses her mark ...unless that mark happens to be a super quick hedgehog that can move faster than the speed of sound. And all of his buddies are about as fast as him, too. Man, shooting somebody just ain't what it used to be.

- Commands all kinds of badniks. The badniks are the ones who do most of the fighting for her, she just directs them. (This is only an ability as long as Eggman continues to supply her with them.)

- Knows a variety of party tricks, such as winning cup stacking races, crushing beer cans on her forehead, and turning her eyelids inside out. Sure to keep your guests well entertained while you remember to go order the pizza.

- Tells a darn good story. (Content not guaranteed to be all-ages.)

Weaknesses:
- Can't really DO anything special. Being durable and having good aim don't help her much in fighting Sonic and his friends. She hasn't got super strength or super speed, or any nifty glowy powers to make up for it. Or any game-breaking chao to rely on, either.

- Has a bounty on her head, which comes up as a problem at some of the most inconvenient times.

- Has a lot of enemies, not so many friends. Doesn't have a lot of people she can rely on for help, so has to do most things totally on her own. This is a big reason she finds working for Doctor Eggman so appealing: even though he thinks she's a worthless idiot, he has giant laser cannons, and lets her use them. So he's A-Okay in her book.

Personality:
- Loud, chatty, laughs a lot. She can talk for hours on end if you let her. She's very personable and easy to get along with at a superficial level, but her underlying selfish motives keep her from forming any lasting friendships. Constantly cracks jokes, laughs at her own failures, doesn't really take anything seriously. Her life situation is at a pretty crappy point, and doesn't appear to be getting better any time soon, so she'd rather not complain about it and just get a good chuckle out it instead.

- She's pretty genre savvy, but doesn't use her ability to accurately predict the outcomes of events for anything practical. Instead of using it to gain an advantage in battle, she uses it to time when she'll be beaten in a fight so so she knows when to go on lunch break.

- There isn't a mean bone in her body. ...But there isn't a sympathetic one, either. She doesn't enjoy hurting other people, but isn't prepared to let herself get hurt helping them either. She is motivated by her own self-preservation and goals, and has no commitment to other people's causes. If she promises loyalty, she means it, but she'll only follow through out of her desire to keep her word, and has no true interest in whatever it is she's told to do.

- She's got a pretty tough exterior, both physically and emotionally. She expects the worst out of people and gets defensive pretty quick. She never puts up with people's crap and has no qualms with calling them out on things that rub her the wrong way. Of course, when some one is actually genuinely nice to her, she doesn't know what to do with herself, and sometimes ends up distrusting someone with actual good intentions.

- Secretly, in some cobweb covered corner of her brain, Boss isn't really happy with being a criminal, and wishes that she could live as freely as Sonic and his friends. But she keeps those feelings buried deep so that she doesn't have to face them and feel unhappy. Because she doesn't see a readily available solution to her problem, she just ignores it because she sees no point in being upset about it. She's also a little scared of leaving her life of crime, because she's worried she'd be terrible at being good.
