I figured it was time for an updated photo of myself. The images with the long hair is my most recent photoshoot however I have changed my hair a LOT since then. So here is the reveal for you all. I hope you like it.Related content

If I said the pic was perfect, it would be truthful but not very helpful. However, I think you have created a near perfect picture. The colors and tones are wonderful, your red hair is striking and grabs the viewer. The lighting is excellent, I tend to over expose mine, which I love, but no one else does. The camera tilt is great, it adds interest to the photo. The overall impression is great and I see the rule of 3's very nicely done for balance. The only thing I guess I don't care for and this is just me is the small part of the tattoo that is visible. I love tats, but in this case, the tat slightly affects the color balance on either side of your necklace. Okay, If I hold my finger up to the screen and cover up the tat, the picture seems sharper to me, deeper, more 3 dimensional. And because the tat falls slightly into the out of focus zone. I think without the tat, I could see this pic as part of a marketing campaign for hair color or clothing, you have created so much presence in the pic. Wonderful!!!

agreed with everything except the tattoo...go figure. To me the partial revealing nature makes the deliberate offset even more interesting. Especially since the very meaning of the tattoo (carpe diem correct?) to me makes the non-symmetrical nature even better. For example, contrast the piercing and the tattoo, both are signs of individuality outside the ordinary, and even their positioning seems to me to be quite excellent. other than that I agree with the other comments although in a far less discerning and artistic manner.

Thank you for the comments on the image both good and bad. When I originally took this I wasn't expecting it to come out at all, I was having major issues with taking photos today it seems. However I do agree the tattoo is slightly offsetting. I don't like to have it showing if only part of it shows just in everyday life mostly because no one knows it's NOT a signature so they assume at first it is. Which then follows with remarks and snide comments. I am not good at photoshop though enough to remove a tattoo from an image so I shall survive with it being there.
I'm honored you think so highly of my photo though, especially since it was just a random image.
