11" x 17" @ 450 DPI. Art by Jim Lee *jimlee00 , Scott Williams *INKIST and Alex Sinclair. By now most of you have seen the progression of this cover. Jim went through a few sketches before ending on this composition. Somewhere along the line Robots were suggested and how much we all liked the Fleischer cartoons. Jim threw in his version of them in the BG, and I did my best to pay an homage to them by simplifying the rendering and going really heavy on atmosphere. Oh wow, the Fleischer robots! That was one of my first memories of Superman. This actually makes me excited about Superman's part in the relaunch! And the simplicity is just perfectly done!

You always do so well balancing your warm/cool colors. I would like to get a print of this, but I don't think I have any money to spare after the last two. I think this might be my first time actually buying a copy of Action Comics for a Superman story instead of a Lex Luthor or Supergirl feature. I've said it before, can't wait; it's an exciting time for comics. If you need me I'll be trying to subdue my inpatients with the DCUO.

AWESOME......Fix if what i say is wrong .....this piece is cold colors with just some light on supermanΒ΄s face and some warm light coming from inside the robots

yes, you're correct. I also desaturated most of the colors around Superman to make him pop even more.
