11" x 17" @ 450 DPI. Art by Jim Lee *jimlee00 , Scott Williams *INKIST and Alex Sinclair. By now most of you have seen the progression of this cover. Jim went through a few sketches before ending on this composition. Somewhere along the line Robots were suggested and how much we all liked the Fleischer cartoons. Jim threw in his version of them in the BG, and I did my best to pay an homage to them by simplifying the rendering and going really heavy on atmosphere. i saw the pencils for this and i was wondering who was gonna color this and how they were going to color the robots in the background? well you did fantasic job WOW! the shadows on there heads and bodies just great you brought the picture to life

the colors are great. , I can get pass the sign on the chest. but the costume... lame.. he looks like he's wearing a turtleneck on his armor. Superman in armor?!!? c'mon. DC comics, end this before you lose all your loyal fans!

I actually like the high collar and don't read the suit as armor. Maybe it's because I've seen more of him drawn. So I hope you wait to see more of him before you form an opinion.

I've seen him in Swamp thing, Justice League and other comics. I just can't get past it. it's bold of them to make such a drastic change.
a phrase is screaming in my mind - "if something is good, don't change it." and that's what I thing about Superman. he was good, he was great. but this new one...I don't know. I'll try to give him a shot. oh and don't let me get started about Action Comics... hell no!

Couldn't you just add a little yellow to the belt. Also while I don't mind the Superman and Justice League stories The rest of the reboot just doesn't do it for me esspically with Batman and superboy

Now that looks so good! This is one of the best renditions of the new suit and as usual your colors bring it to life. He looks regal. I like that.

Thinking Jim put a tad too much detail on the deltoid and quad areas.
But all in all, he didn't do a bad job--he never really does 
Fantastic coloring all around Alex. I really dig the way the robots in the back came out looking. Very stylish.

You never cease to amaze! I love how Supes both pops from the bots in the back, but fades in to the fog in the bottom, very cool effect.

a few folks have had their art either being sold by someone else or claimed by someone else. Sucks that idiots like that force us to add something like a watermark to the art to try and prevent it
