is the original version of the song by Joan Baez?i dont know who she is,but when i was looking for lyrics i've found the one by her.

you're welcome and yep the original was by her.. she used to tour alot with Bob Dylan (who I think she wrote the song for lol) in the 60s and 70s..Judas Priest did a great cover of it but it's Joan who's haunting voice will send shivers down anyone's spine lol here's a youtube recording of it [link]

In the late eighties I visited a concert of a German band called 'Grobschnitt'. Before starting the gig, they played a tape of the Judas priest song 'Turbo Lover' - and only that song for an hour, was a lot of fun!
