I know I said I was gonna stop making these... but who am I kidding? I'm making this one kinda different, in that it's a different setting for each player. I'm borrowing the idea from , soo yeah. Enjoy! ^^Update: CLOSED! I WILL NOT START ANY MORE RPS ON THIS!

Male in mid-twenties, commander of a private salvage vessel, the Blackbird, with a few other crew members.
We've been hired to move the Argo, a research ship that was disabled by a mysterious power failure. We'll be dropping out of slipstream in thirty seconds, twenty klicks from target.

Okay. The flight goes smoothly and you reach the Argo.

"Right then. She doesn't look too bad, obviously not responding to comms... Larson, you see anything on internal scans?"
"Sorry, cap. Her hull's shielded for hazardous conditions, I can't get a look inside."
"Alright. Her engines look fine... what's that thing that looks like a hole in her side?"
"Um, according to these... that would be a hole in her side. No sign of leakage."
"Could be she's been drained of atmo. Well, might as well take a look. Jensen, Anderson. You're both on me. Let's suit up and take the shuttle. Larson, the bird's all yours."
"Aye, cap. Safe travels, shuttle's warming up now."

I scan the flashlight upwards. "You hear that?"
"Sure did, sir... at least not all of her's in vacuum then."
"Then we could have survivors on here. Larson, prep the med bay, wake up the doc... I don't care what time his clock's set to, we may have injurie- Jensen, where did Anderson go?"
He looks beside him in shock. "Oh hell... she was there a minute ago... Anderson! Dammit, Linda!" He reaches down. "She left her weapon."
"Damn... wait, there's a passage way at our five. How'd we miss that... Mess hall's down that way. Jensen, you lead, I'll look behind us."
We both turn and walk down the passage, flashlights hitting the wall.
"Looks like something's been scratching these up... Mess hall's open, sir."

Inside, there are corpses all over. Horribly mutilated ones.

Turning around, the light shows all of them. "Jesus... Larson, how many crew did this tub have?"
"15, sir"
"I don't know how many... wait, what's that?"
The light shows on a fresher corpse-
"Oh my god, it's Anderson."
"Ok, that's it, back to the shuttle. Larson, we're coming back, Anderson's gone."

You hear something breathing heavily behind you.

"Hang on, I he- Jesus Christ! Contact rear, open fire!"
Both me and Jensen open fire from our weapons, submachine guns at the creature. The lights are useless because of bullet flashes, but we can't make out the creature. "To the shuttle! Double time!"
"I can't even see what we're shooting anymore!"
"Just keep going! The hangar's right there!"

You barely make it to the shuttle.

Automated voice: "Welcome to the Automated Transfer Shuttle. Main systems online. Please select destination."
"Blackbird! ID Seven-two-niner authorization Victor!"
"Destination confirmed. Starting thrusters, please hold on."
The creature bangs the outside of the shuttle, causing it to rock.
"Error: external contact. Running diagnostics-"
I jump towards the computer. "Fuck that! Manual override! Code zero-two-four-alpha-three. Full manual control!"
"Access granted."
Controls pop from the dashboard. I grip them fast. "Hang on!" I shove them forward, and the shuttle soars out of the hangar.
"Blackbird, we're coming in hot! Prepare hangar for landing!"

"What's going on in there!?"

"Jensen, the Argo's compromised! Most of the crew's been killed by I don't know what, and it got Anderson too!"
The shuttle's collision alarm sounds.
"Oh hell, the reversers aren't responding! Brace for impact!"
The shuttle crashes into the rear hangar, smashing against a crash barrier but being badly damaged in the process. The door closes, and even pressurized, the hangar is silent.

(Which accounts for four more people) Something rustles on the shuttle, but noone sees it as they pull the emergency release.
Sometime later, I come to in the sick bay. Doc looks down with his usual scowl. "Well, you're alive, Captain, and surprisingly free of injuries after that stunt."
I sit up, groaning in pain at stiff joints. "How about Jensen?"
"He's fine, too, got a large knot on his head after the crash."
"Am I free to go?"
"Yes, please."
Walking to the bridge, Larson is back in his spot. "Glad to see you're ok, Cap."
"Right... What's the status?"
"No movement on the Argo, I pulled us up close, about half a klick away. Should we start the tow?"
"... Do it, let's get out of here."
"Aye, sir. Starting main process... Magnetic clamps online, tethers reeling us in, contact point starboard side... we have contact aaand... lock. Engines 1 through 6 reconfiguring for changed mass... we're all set."
