Description
Ive been wanting to do a comic about this for a while, but boredom and this comic [link] got me up to doing itThe characters are Adrian and Michael of transgirl diaries by Evelyn Poor. Adrian gets her period only to hate it and Michael who is ftm is all told ya so.
So basically, a transgirl once had the nerve to tell me that I was lucky to have my period when I was talking about how horrible it is for me. It pissed me off, you don't ever say that to an ftm, ever. Mtfs always say they want to have their period. Yes, I understand the feeling of wanting it to give birth and feel natural, but its more the uterus and ovaries you want, NOT your period.
Even a born girl will tell you "Trust me, you don't want it."
This comic is my guess of what would happen to an mtf if she were to get a period.

This is one of the most confusing things I've felt about being trans. I remember one time my friend Nellie was talking about her period, and one part of my brain actually thought, "lucky," and another part of my brain was like,
"the fuck?" and the first part was like,
"I just mean,"
"what?"
"...nothing."
It's a weird feeling to almost wish for something no one has ever said a good word about ever?

May contain TMI.
You have been warned.
And I do enjoy the comic.
(sighs wistfully) Working my way through the archives of said inspiration for your work here. I am a born female who was the LAST girl in my class to get her period. I remember thinking for most of my 14th year, "Gosh! I might =never= have to deal with a messy period. SCORE!" Not those exact words, I believe everytime the thought came up, "score" was actually a fist-pump and a loud mental "YES!"
Then my 15th summer came along. I was visiting grandma, who apparently had had a hysterectomy many years prior... and my first period happens.
My mother had "prepared" me by giving me the same pamphlet she'd likely been given when on the verge of Womanhood to explain that embarrassing and messy time to girls. I read it like I read most things that didn't seem to be important at the moment, with mild interest and returned it. So at least I never thought, "Dear GOD, I'm bleeding to death!" Some girls 100 years or so ago did have such fears, when sent off to school and mom just could not bring herself to mention certain facts of life to them first. Actually, I am grateful that she let me read about it instead of trying to tell me herself. Probably way less embarrassing for us both.
The =good= part was that Always with Wings was new, and someone had sent grandma a sample pack she just hadn't gotten rid of yet. (smiles) Happily, I took them off her hands.

As a FtM, I can say I wouldn't wish periods on anyone. They're painful, messy, and you feel horrible when you're on them.
Ah.. But people still want them.

Seriously, I know that I would much rather NOT have my period. Ever. Like, never ever. I don't care if I can't ever have kids. I DON'T WANT TO. If I ever say, "Oh, hey, I think I need a screaming, twitching, pooping little icker to make me happy in life," I think I'll just adopt one of those kids... you know, the ones who DON'T HAVE PARENTS.
