Description
Not much editing done, just a bit of tweaking of the colours. I really felt once again that this was a very imposing moment. Awestruck really, the whole time that I was there. The irony in the title is reflecant on some of my thoughts of the Catholic Church. You wouldn't really expect this sort of thing at the Vatican, or maybe you would. I like the photo though.Related content

Thanks, and I'm sure you don't want to listen to an insignificant's rants on the Church as an institution but as you've asked I will enlighten you briefly to some of my thoughts. Firstly, for me, faith is a very personal thing, I wouldn't say I'm in any way religious, as I've been posed with to many unanswerable questions and I'm only 17, not a good start. I have no problems as such with cristianity and the teachings of Christians I just disagree with the way that these 'values' are implimented into society through such means as the Church. It is good and well to treat others as you wish to be treated, I just don't expect this value to be indoctrinated into me by the Church, especially the higher ranks, who are seemingly more elivated than the common man. I personally think that if you wish to believe and to have faith in a higher being, or be intouch with your spirituality, you dont need some patriarchal ancient institution stuffing those thoughts down my throat. God doesn't need to be prayed to every day, ha doesnt even need to be considered as a person, and for that reason my views on the Church are very sceptical.
Rant finished.
I hope you found it enlightening.
Thankyou for the

Nice rant. Thats quite interesting actually. You thinking of being a politician? I reckon they should sell all their nice robes and gold crosses and give the proceeds to charity. But thats just me.

Ahahah, politican, now dont get me started on them ^.^ I actually thought of it for a while, it would be an interesting career. And I agree with you about the selling of their things. They are meant to be promoting spiritual happiness not materialism
