Ok so this was the Trucy from Apollo Justice doll that I made for Kiero for her birthdayIt is about 9" tall and made of felt. The eyes and designs on the cape were painted on with regular acrylic paint.

That's so awesome! Was it easy to paint the details with the acrylic paint? Did it work nicely? I'm just wondering because I have acrylic paints and I was thinking of buying fabric paints, but if acrylic works fine I can just use what I have. Thanks

Yes it works fine and looks quite nice on felt if you first cut the stray fibers at the surface you are painting bc otherwise the will sometimes get paint where you don't want. Then I also go back over the area and cut strays away gain after the paint is dry.
Acrylic also works on other fabrics fine but if you are going to use it in a large area or on clothing it does make the fabric stiff when it dries BUT you can buy this thing called a fabric medium at walmart and then you can mix that with the acrylic and it essentially turns the paint into fabric paint that is cheaper
