Yeah I discovered it while experimenting, and the really sweet thing is you can make the individual parts of the arc move, to really give the feeling of swift motion (watch the gif frame by frame, you'll see it better. You'll also see that I cheated with the first frame of the arc! It actually overshoot the position of the axe ). It also gives the arc quite a bite

The styling you added to the motion blur is one of my new favorite things. The previous blur conveyed the motion just fine, but that spacing gives the axe such a bite. I'm going to need to experiment more with my own blurs.
