Mmm... boring title... but full view would be nice.
I'm trying out a trial of Painter XI.5! Tell me what you think, and if I should consider getting this someday instead of openCanvas. :3 I've given up with Photoshop -- too expensive for things I'll never use. :3
This didn't take long, but it was frustrating. There are so many different brushes in Painter!

It looks wonderful. Ive had same experiance with painter and its multitude of brushes..It took a while to get used to is all besides; better to have and not use, than to not have and need. Great use of highlights and shadow to create depth in the painting, I love it.

pretty! I love the way you did his eyes and hair! ^^ I've never used painter or OC but I think if I were to opt for one over the other it would be painter just becuase of all the beautiful works that seem to come from it. I'd have to say that it's really up to you though ^^

As for this picture, it's not my favourite of yours, but there is a nice uniqueness about it that would definitely stand out from other Kite fanart. The colours you've used remind me of the work I used to do when I first started CGing.

xD Oh... that's great Zac... yeah, I used to think that oC is the best painting program ever... and I still kind of do, but there are so many objections. D: I'm gonna try out Painter again, see if I can do what I did in oC and more... and if not, then, eeeeh...

I think oC is always the way to go when you're coloring the skin (amazing wonders the effects can do
But I'd try new things to see which one works best.
Whatever happens, I'll forever stick to my beloved Photoshop CS2~

Yeah I know, beautiful effects on the skin. :3 Maybe that's what I can do~ switch off after I do the skin~ oh I don't know! xD The thing is the two work the same in some ways, but different in others. Like no other program I have seen can produce such a glorious lineart as oC. :3

OMG it's great! The colors are fantastic, and the lighting is so warm and inviting, just like a hearth fire. I also like the expression, so sad and thoughtful. If I were you I would have used a more yellow/orange color for the background.
