I thought that was John and his and Mary's daughter at first but then I read the discription and realized it didnt really look like them. I imagine their daughter growing up having a morbid fasination for murders like her "Uncle" Sherlock. I can even see her having a fake (at least, we hope it's fake) shruken head on a stick that Sherlock gave her.
