It could just be ink, I don't know, but General's makes graphite pencils called Sketch & Wash, they're like watercolor pencils but they're not colored. It's pretty awesome

This, is really interesting. Eyecatching compositing and all that. I like the shades of grey and the little spots of colour...or it seems just like it. The expression in those eyes too.
