ergonomics aside, good weapon, versatile at most but some features are rather impratical to try fitting in an assault weapon.
major problem is the stock that's a bit unwieldly, it won't allow precise shots due to shape

with the soon to be used LSAT, the mag could fit into the grip, akin to a handgun, making the stock collapsable, and since a 12 ga is almost 20mm just make the M104 semi-auto shotgun bigger... sorry just running with an idea, you can have it

Again where does the bayonet/vibrobayonet goes. If you are telling me that it is a spike built in the gun then I buy it. Do not forget, close quarter combat you are going to need a knife. It never goes out of style. Could use this gun in the RPG game OMEGA, or in a Heroes unlimited setting. Love the aDDITION OF THE SHOTGUN. ?could it be used in other planets?

Just being the typical gun head here, there is an insertion port drawn for the shotgun shell, presumably single shot, direct feeding to the chamber which is what i'd guess from the space allowed in the weapon system.
Secondly (for the benefit of others down the page), he mentions in the spec that there is a fire selector switch in the system, be it electronic or manual for alternating between rifle and shotgun.
Finally, guessing from what the blurb on the bottom reads, it is fiction, so it really dosn't matter if it is feasible or not, it's a moot point.
side note: Buckshot cartriges exist for the M203, so the capabilities of this gun can be achieved on real life, sort of o.O
