I kinda got my pen to work woo! It's still annoying but eh.
Anyway, I wanted to participate in National Novel Writing Month this year and these are ideas I had for some characters I've been wanting to use for a while now.
Roxana is a fraudulent fortune teller/medium in a gypsy troupe. She does not actually have the power to speak with the dead nor of divination, but rather cons people into thinking she does. However, when her troupe settles in the same territory of an infamous freakshow, everything starts to go wrong. Starting with her brother, a string of brutal, unexplainable, and ironic murders kills off her troupe one by one, until she's close to the last survivor.
Emilian is an illusionist/escape artist with quite the opposite story of Roxana, being a member of the opposing freakshow. Rather than fake supernatural abilities, they use honest and unusual powers to leave the audience in awe at their "illusions". Being the newest member of the frakshow, he'd only had inklings of the homicidal behavior of his monstrous and bloodthirsty peers. When Roxana's troupe begins to horrifically dwindle, he tricks her into becoming a true medium to save her life, for if she was an honest supernatural being she would be spared by the freakshow.

Any of that sound interesting? It'd be my first attempt at a horror and obviously I need more details, but anyone have an opinion so far?
