Description
A touch of poetryI was told to write a poem once,
A poem about the grass,
The sky, the mountains,
A poem about the world.
It should have been simple,
You observe, you think
And you write it down.
I tried, oh yes! I tried,
I wrote a couple words,
I erased some lines,
I cried a few tears,
And I put my pencil down.
But I missed it a lot,
I liked to write,
I liked to observe.
So I brought my head up,
And I tried again,
Except this time
It was to be different:
I wouldn't go describe,
I would try to capture
The feelings things gave out,
And it worked.
I wrote a few poems,
All successful to me
And I enjoyed it,
For the first time
I had accomplished
Something great
I would love all my life.

Heh heh, I love the fact that it's about the trials and triumphs of writing a poem.

well most people don't seem to realize that poems aren't that easy to write, and a lot of work goes into them... well, on most poems, some are easier to write
