Description
Expression set ala RPG game windows of a character, Dovik.I've been up to a lot of quiet background work to flesh out the world setting of the short comic 'This War Machine', and instead of doing something productive with it, I've been doodling silly stuff like this.
While not shown Dovik is part bobcat and part generi-dog.
Thought it was a neat set to share.

i love the mixture of the two species, it doesnt look ridiculous like some of the other mixes ive seen. lovely job with the expressions, too. hes a cute lil fucker

Even zoomed in, I get the impression that these are 3D. That's pretty cool!

It took me a bit to see what people meant by they look 3D, but now that I SEE it, it's like wow! Diffused overlay lighting FTW, I was just trying to keep the color count low/saturated so they'd convert to 96x96 PNGs well.

For some reason the shading on these actually made the thumbnail look like they were 3D renders to me. XD; These are really gorgeous, I love that first happy smile and the calm closed-eyed one on the right end of the first row. The character does look like a good combination of bobcat and dog, and I love the piercing gold eyes.

Very well drawn, and a very varied set of expressions! I don't know whether you got this vibe yourself, but i'm thinking that this guy wouldn't look out of place in a StarFox game.
