It is quite an interesting piece. It kind of reminds me of Lullaby for a Princess by Warpout. Anyways, the shading, background, and the picture is really good overall. The only thing I have a bit of a problem with is the size of their wings, feathers, Luna's hoof things, and Celestia's back.
The wings look a little small in my opinion, too few feathers, and as for the others. I believe that the hoof things are metal, so they would not bend like that unless jointed, and Celestia's back could of used more than a straight line, like maybe make it look a little more like fur.
Overall, it is a well done piece, and keep in mind this is my opinion, so you do not have to change it.

Well it's hard to give a critique on such a good piece of art. Honestly I think you did a really good job with it; its well blended the lines are clean, and the overall picture makes sense. I guess really the only thing even slightly wrong I is the tears in Celestia's eyes need to fall down her face a little more and actually spread throughout the entire eye and Nightmare Moon's fangs need to be a little more on the side of her mouth instead of right in the front. I also would have angled Celestia so that you wouldn't see here back hooves just the flank and cutie mark.

This is a great piece of work, I love the style in that it's similar to the show BUT has a bit of a unique twist to it. I love also how you have done Celestia's mane in the original colour. Also the emotion from both Celestia and Nightmare Moon, clearly there was time and effort put into this. Also the placement reminds me of Yin and Yang, Yin meaning Moon with Yang as the opposite meaning Sun. The point of this is that I would like to see more and I am probably going to browse after completing this critique. Honestly, it's a brilliant piece.
