Description
This dagger was made from an unmounted blade I purchased at a local pawn shop. It appeared to have been milled out of a file blade and re-heat treated. Someone had damaged the tip so I got it for a buck. After regrinding the blade I fitted it with a turned maple handle, and a guard made out of a solid brass drawer pull. A brass button was set into the pommel. I stained the Maple handle and scabbard with an antique walnut stain. I then glued and stitched the leather onto the scabbard. On the backside of the scabbard are two small D-rings.More views

I love that it's got so many almost delicate smooth curves, and yet has an overall rough texture from the wood grains. Really great choices in material here, especially that leather - great contrast.Β
