Description
My name is Highwire, although it meant much more to me then than it does now. I was born in the first generation of Autobot flyers. The code had finally been cracked, and now both sides of the playing feild were on equal terms. I came into this world already knowing my purpose, who I fought for, and why I was created. With my partner and minicon Spire by my side, we were unstopable.---
Part One: HERE!
Part Two: On Duty
Bonus: Decepticon Children
Part Three: Another Day's Work
Part Four: The Cause
Part Five: The Fight
Part Six: We Lost

While I'm not a writer, I've wanted for a very long time to tell some stories I've had in mind, and if you never try you'll never get better at it. So I'll be telling Highwire's story in the best way I know, visually with stories. I won't force you all to try and read too much of my writing, so I'll keep the descriptions brief. Enjoy!

It's an interesting start since the image I've gotten of Highwire is of a peaceful scientist... looking forward to seeing more

Thanks man! I'm hoping to create interest for her story and practice properly creating a character and a narrative.

These two are looking great! I've always been a fan of your pieces with different perspectives. ^u^

THIS
I've already said my bit about this piece of yours, but I'm still really impressed with how it turned out over all. I watched your speed paint and I gotta say I like this new shading method you're using. I know you said you felt like it presented some issues so don't be afraid to mix and match different styles of shading in the future. I'm confident you can find your own blend of shading that fits your art style best and I'm proud of you for branching out and trying something new even when you felt like it didn't 100% work.
I didn't see this before, but Spire has no texture on him, maybe next time throw a little dry brush texture onto him as well? I love how battle worn Highwire looks, but Spire looks so pristine next to her. I realize being so much smaller he'd have fewer details by comparison, but I think you could still throw a little something on him, I'm sure Spire is just as ready to fight as his partner!
I'm super exited to see more of Highwire!

The new shading style I'm testing has its pros and cons.
Pros:
- Values look way better
- The piece looks more unified, and not like lots of little-shaded shapes.
- The colors are not a distraction so I can actually focus on putting the lights and darks where you want.
Cons:
- You never really know what the colors are gonna look like when you put them back on, in her case I was really surprised when they were really saturated and weird. I messed around till they looked right, but it was really unexpected since that did not happen when I did Helaine's armor.
- Colors tend to change the hue, and don't come exactly the way you want.
I'm gonna try and mess around, see if I've missed something. Spire's texture went right over my head, but I'll fix it next time for sure, thank you!

That's a really nice perspective for the drawing and way of telling stories!
