This was actually drawn a few months ago for an ask on Tumblr! An anon asked how Ash came to realize that he had a crush on Skye and this was the answer.

Skye clearly had something on his mind when Ash came to the ranch that weekend. Ash was worried that Skye was still upset over seeing him jump off Prism Tower, so he kept trying to get Skye to talk. He eventually succeeded, resulting in Skye confessing that he has a crush on him.

To be honest, Ash had his suspicions that there was something going on with his own feelings towards Skye, but he never thought about it too much (thinking about Skye like that made him feel weird) and when he did think about it, he couldn't place a name on the feeling. . .until that moment.

In that moment, the gay puzzle pieces fell into place and Ash realized he finally had a name for his feelings. He has a crush on Skye. And Skye has a crush on him. Oh.
