Experiment time. I'm trying to learn how to paint and draw horses properly, and so have painted these three.

The first is completely off of the top of my head, no reference. This is to see what I tend to do on my own, (and is no doubt why it sucks. ). I don't think it's a horse . . . More likely to be an alien in a bad disguise. THEY'RE HERE FOR OUR TUNA.

The second is painted with a reference photo-[link] from ~Colourize-Stock
Obviously, I changed the color. X3
And I think the proportions were still botched, as I just kind of eyeballed it....

After painting those two, I put them side by side and compared them. It's fairly easy to see what I was doing wrong. So with that in mind, I painted the third one. This one was once again with no reference, and HOPEFULLY some improvements were made. There's still some flaws I can pick out with it, but oh well.

Critique on the second and third examples would be appreciated.

Notes:
1. These were all painted with the same techniques:
Sketch, Silhouette, Shading, and Color, in that order. (No dodge, burn, or smudge tool, I might add. I don't like them.)
2. None of them seem to possess a gender, (the referenced one was a mare originally,) and as such are probably ALL aliens.
