I love everything except the background. I don't think a dirty gritty texture is the way to go - for this at least. Maybe a clean, flowing absract-ish look?
I dunno, I just don't like the grit, especially since I can see a hard frame of it. The piece is really beautiful though.

Agreed they are, but you always use them!! I know in a couple you haven't, but lets face it, if you COULD, you'd use them in literally every single design you make, including ones that wouldn't make sense
I REALLY want to see something a purple, brown and yellow from you. that'd rock. With some bits of white and black in also possible, but the 3 colours are what you need to do

ooh, i like it, only thing is that i think that the piece would be so much better if the background was a solid color or at least gradient just like the rest of the piece
