Description Here is a scene I have been working on for awhile. I took this photo from [link] and drew it, then added the boy and his dog and painted everything in photoshop. I would like to receive suggestions and ideas so that I can make final touches.

I accredit the photo to Arminius1871 as my reference. The photo can be found here:

I went in and added shadows and touched up on the clouds as well as a few other things.

A quaint little scene you have here :3 I really like the detail you put into the buildings, and the perspective view is quite well done.
My main point of critique is on the streets - instead of going to the painstaking detail of outlining all the cobblestones and shading/highlighting everywhere, I may suggest using a texture brush, or at least a blur filter. That way, it doesn't command too much attention - with too much detail work, the boy and the dog on the street look more like designs in the stone than beings walking across it. If you use a texture brush, it'll make the street look a lot less interesting, and it'll let anything on it 'pop' out more. (Also, make sure that anything on the street casts shadows on it, too, even if they'd be blurred out by the texture of the street.) This also applies to the roofs.
The upper half of the picture overall is pretty good, but I think the clouds on the left could learn something from the clouds on the right - you want to make sure not to have splotches of gray that are darker than the rest of the clouds.
But overall, a very cool scene. I like :3

I definitely was struggling with the streets and wasn't sure how to make the dog and the boy stick out more. I do tend to do too much detail and get carried away so I need to learn to use different techniques. I appreciate your critique and suggestions very much and am glad you took the time to send them. I will get around to editing the picture one of these days.
