I wrote a journal a while ago about weird art-related stories I'd encountered over the years, and this picture does indeed have a story of it's own. I'll paste the story about it here, the stories about other pictures are here: smashmethod.deviantart.com/jouβ¦
"For the longest time the silhouette in the center of this piece was being ripped/stolen by MickM (mickm.com). The funny thing was is that he was claiming he was the person in the silhouette, and that he made it from scratch. This is hilarious because anyone who knows what I look like knows that bulky 6'6'' frame in that image is me, propped up on a chair in the basement. There's even still posts on his forums where he says I stole it from him. Needless to say after I emailed him a resized version of the image of me in the basement before silhouetting it threatening legal action, he "redesigned his site because it needed it for unrelated reasons" and the rip disappeared. How very timely."
