Great painting! if you had drawn the red spot, it would have been epic! Still, the vision of the giant on the horizon, would make me shudder ...

There is nothing I can say about this piece that hasn't already been said, I'm afraid. This view is stunning, imposing, and fantastic. To imagine the distance a moon must be from its planet, and to still have that host taking the whole of the sky up with its image. I must say I find this piece hauntingly beautiful.

I can't remember whether I commented on this when I first added it to my favourites, but I love the feel of this. There's something ominous about the looming form of the gas giant. It's quite unusual and interesting.
Keep up the good work!

This is amazing. I've been dabbling with Corel Painter X but I still don't know how to do anything amazing as this. Is there a specific program you recommend? Is this an entirely different method rather than just painting with a tablet? I'm still kind of new to all this.

Well as most of my work this was also mostly made with a 3D app. In this case the terrain was rendered in terragen2 and the planet in the horizon was a texture applied to a surface with some photoshop postwork.

Really cool idea! I love when people can see beyond what's there and make a mental connection to something else or to the abstract.
