i drew this today..scales took FOREVER..soo many..as usual it looks a TON better in person..exspecially because of flash and how i had to take it at an angle..its head isnt really as small as it looks..critique away, my first snake, referance only for basic head shape

I especially love the back half of its body, the curvature is perfect. And it's head is gorgeous. The upward angle you had to take the picture at makes it seem like the snake really is rearing up to show off its size and intimidate-- I feel like I'm something small having to look up at it ^_^
I found this as I was searching for reptile scales, and the scales you've created here are wonderful.

wow! looks great! i searched how to draw scales and now i got what i needed to finish my drawing 
critic on a great drawing: i think the 2second "swirl" of itΒ΄s tail looks knid a weird...like it goes from small to very large or something...itΒ΄s about the angel or scale.

Nice! Maybe make the scales seem smoother? They look raised whereas a real snakes scales are smooth.

i can beleve that those scales took forever... hmm.. everything looks 100% ok, except - maybe that head's a bit small... oh i don't know.. never drawn a snake myself
