I've found that I can judge my maturity by the pairings I like. Like, Levi and Erwin are both past the "crazy" teen and twenties stages (not that Erwin probably had much of that, but still...) and have had time to figure themselves out more, and would be able to have a sturdier relationship. They've been through a lot together and probably understand each other on an emotional level better than most people could. I feel like it's a pairing based off of understanding and respect (however grudging on Levi's part), as well as physical compatibility (because they are way too active and high-strung to not have a dynamite sex life! XD).
